General information only

Everything on Campers Frontier about RVs, campers, road travel and campgrounds is general information shared for educational purposes. It is based on research and our own experience, but it is not professional advice and may not fit your situation. Conditions, products, laws and best practices change, and we cannot guarantee that every article is complete or current.

Safety comes first

  • RVs and towing: towing, weight ratings, hitches, brakes and tires are safety-critical. Always follow your vehicle and RV manufacturer specifications and the law where you drive. Never exceed rated capacities.
  • RV systems: propane, 120/240-volt electrical, generators, batteries and solar can cause fire, shock or carbon monoxide poisoning. Keep working CO, smoke and propane detectors, and use a qualified RV technician for work you are not trained to do.
  • Travel and camping: roads, weather, wildlife and campground rules change. Check current conditions, closures, fire restrictions and park rules before you go.
