Information we collect

  • Information you give us: your email address (and name, if you give it) when you join our email list or download a free resource, and anything you send us by email or in a comment.
  • Information collected automatically: like most websites, our host and our tools record technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and referring site.
  • Comments: if you comment, we keep your name, email, comment, IP address and browser string to help prevent spam. An anonymized hash of your email may be checked with the Gravatar service (privacy policy at automattic.com/privacy).

Cookies

Analytics

We may use analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to understand which pages are useful. These tools use cookies and collect data such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type. Email (AWeber)

Our email list is run by AWeber Communications. When you sign up, your email address (and name, if given) is stored by AWeber so we can send you the newsletter and resources you asked for. AWeber may record when emails are opened or links are clicked. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at support@thehomesteadfrontier.com. AWeber’s own privacy policy applies to its handling of your data.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer may set a cookie to credit us with the referral. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Campers Frontier is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. How we use and share information

We use your information to run the site, send the emails you asked for, answer messages, prevent spam and abuse, and improve our content. We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site (such as our web host Hostinger, AWeber and analytics providers), or when required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep email subscriber data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, comments for as long as they are published, and technical logs for as long as our providers keep them.

Your privacy rights, including US state rights

Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other US states with privacy laws, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information or targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. Where cookies are used for advertising or analytics, you can opt out through our cookie settings, and we honor the Global Privacy Control signal where required. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our answer.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
